Laundry

Since Ethan's arrival, we have done over 6 loads of laundry. Ricky has been peed, pooped and puked on....not once but multiple times. The joy of parenthood :)

Check Up

Today, Ethan weights 7lb 4oz. He is slowly fading his yellow tint. Now, we just need to continue to feed him well so that he'll gain back the weight he lost since he was born.

Yellow Baby

At Ethan's first check up, we found out that Ethan's bilirubin doubled since being discharged from the hospital. So for 3 days straight, we had to take Ethan to the doctor to monitor his bilirubin level. This meant he had to get blood drawn everyday. I couldn't bear to watch him get his blood drawn, Ricky had to be the strong one.
His bilirubin kept climbing up and he was admitted on Saturday to the hospital for photo therapy. It was a little difficult seeing the little guy lying in the tanning bed with his little goggles and we weren't able to hold him. We were relieved after 16 hrs in the light, his bili came down within the normal range and he was discharged from the hospital this afternoon.

Born Feburary 22nd, 2009 at 5:03pm. 7lbs 14oz and 19.5 inches.
